I came up with the idea when I was trying to think of an inexpensive, but meaningful gift for my husband. I wished I could afford to just whisk him away for a relaxing, romantic getaway. Our bucket list of traveling destinations is definitely long. However, with several little ones at home and student loans to pay- this is definitely not the season of our life for becoming world travelers.
So I came up with this instead. You can choose to actually go out and visit different cities, sites, or attractions near you, OR you can source what I did and bring the different destinations to the comfort of your own home.
So he knows what this gift is all about. So he knows which nights to reserve for you! So he can travel the world with you, of course!
So you can record and remember all your travels! Print them out and glue them inside his passport each month as you visit different destinations. Tonight…Caribbean Cruise with some food from Rumbi and the room turned into a room on a cruise ship complete with porthole window! Thanks for the great ideas and all of the links! I asked my hubby in advance if he could travel anywhere where would he go and added that in. I also added in where he served his mission and went through his scrapbook to get ideas. I have a couple of weddings this summer and I think I just found my gift. No to mention making one for my own husband as well. I fell in LOVE with this idea! What a magical evening!
I LOVED learning about each country we are going to visit and I think all of this will make beautiful and treasured click. To customize it I just wrote on the printables, like the tickets and travel itinerary, with a pen to add the name, dates, etc. Then follow any scenario at your discretion - champagne and candles or a grandiose movie night with goodies.
We are excited to head to see more Caribbean this month to get us excited for our cruise in September! Thank you again for the amazing idea.

I think I have the hardest time within the first couple of months after the baby is born because I get immersed with trying to figure out the new schedule.
My girlfriend got her husband a special anniversary sundial, it is a clock that sits on the window sill in their apartment and uses the sun to tell the time. I was even wearing this brightly colored, fringed swimsuit coverup that could kinda pass for African-wear when I hear a knock on the door, then the doorbell rings.
Enjoy reconnecting with your hubby. My boyfriend is more excited about this idea than me. I thought he was going to think it was corny and he said not just 12 but we gotta do 24 dates in a year I plan one a month and he plans one.
